Naked Salvation ~ Love, Sex And Poetry

“It’s easy to take off your clothes and have sex. People do it all the time. But …opening up your soul to someone, Letting them into your spirit, your thoughts, your fears, your future, your hopes and dreams, that is being naked. ~Rob Bell

Naked Salvation ~ Love, Sex and Poetry
By: Linda A. Long

Standing
Before you
Stripped of all
Pretenses
I
Offer myself
As a gift
For your taking
I lay
My desire
Of body and soul
At your feet
Soaked
Wet
by
My hopes
For you to
Rescue me
From this boredom
and spark my fire
Drizzled in
Your love
My naked body lays
Under your
Spell
Entraced by
Your influence
Saved by your
presence
In you
I find salvation
Guided
By your
Voice
Pulled by your energy
I stand naked
Emotionally
Naked and
Revealed
Yet
Not Afraid
Of what
You see
With the crystal
In your blue eyes
I want you to see
I want you
To see
Me
It is
In You
I find my
Salvation

Life is best when lived passionately

Note:
How often do we allow someone to really see you? Do you open yourself to reveal your deepest hopes, wishes and dreams? Do you allow anyone to touch your scars with love and heal you with their light? I’ve never really been willing to reveal myself to anyone. I don’t Really let anyone completely inside of my world. But, lately I’m feeling there will be salvation in allowing someone inside. Something about him feels safe to me. Safe to be naked before him. Not only taking my clothes off but also dropping my guard to him offers naked salvation.
